The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires workforce privacy awareness training. Under Article 39, the GDPR includes among the tasks of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) “awareness raising and training of staff involved in the processing operations.” The course discusses why data protection and privacy are important, how to recognize personal data, and the various responsibilities that must be followed throughout the life cycle of personal data.

This course examines GDPR from a Staff Awareness perspective. You will appreciate the need, scope and concepts of GDPR as well as learn about the privacy principles, data rights and data management.

Training Duration

This course may take up to 2 hours to be completed. However, actual study time differs as each learner uses their own training pace.
